Magicka Necromancer PvP Build – No Procs Cyrodiil – “Vanguard”

The Vanguard is a tanky light armor Necromancer build designed to dive into combat head first, flatten your opponents with it’s massive burst while still being able to withstand a lot of incoming damage.

Setup

Race

The optimal race for this build is Breton because of it’s passive Magicka Regen, it’s Magicka abilities cost reduction and it’s Max Magicka increase. All three of these passives can help you to stay in the fight longer, putting constant pressure on your target or help you keep heals coming out. The spell resistance is very good also. If you are an experienced player, good with your resource management or you just want more damage, High Elf and Dark Elf race can also be used.

Mundus

We are using The Lover mundus stone because it is the biggest damage increase you can get from a mundus and it helps increase the damage of our main ultimate, Dawnbreaker of Smiting.

Note: The ultimate ability on the Back Bar (Sword & Shield bar) can be replaced with Spell Wall as well.

We use Ghastly Eye Bowl since this one food gives us the most Max Magicka and Magicka Recovery.

Potions

We use two types of potions on this build:

• Essence of Magicka for Magicka, Stamina Regen and minor herosim (dragon’s blood / dragon rheum / columbine).
• Essense of Detection for Major Sorcery, Detection and Magicka and if you aren’t using Degeneration (cornflower / wormwood / lady’s smock).

Tri-stat potions also work (columbine / bugloss / mountain flower).
